Dongguan Kewei Medical Instrument Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shanghai MicroPort Medical (Group) Co., Ltd. Its main business includes devices that replace the human lung during open-heart surgery under cardiopulmonary bypass, known academically as oxygenators (artificial lungs), and occluders used for treating congenital heart disease. The company also produces complementary Class III cardiopulmonary medical devices such as blood reservoir filters, arterial micro-embolism filters, and extracorporeal circulation tubing.
