ATXCo, headquartered in San Diego, California, USA, is a biotechnology company. The company is dedicated to developing its own autotaxin (ATX) inhibitors for the treatment of chronic diseases such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), chronic kidney disease, primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), and scleroderma. ATXCo's lead candidate drug, PAT-409, is an ATX inhibitor used for treating IPF. This drug inhibits the production of extracellular lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) enzymes, thereby slowing down the process of pulmonary fibrosis.
