Shandong Huaan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was established in February 2008 in the Laiwu Industrial Zone, Jinan City, Shandong Province, covering an area of 100 mu. The company is jointly invested by Weigao Group and foreign investors, specializing in the research, production, and sales of minimally invasive medical devices as a high-tech enterprise. The company has a highly recognized R&D team led by experts in the medical and polymer fields, focusing on the research of biomedical polymer materials and the development of fully biodegradable vascular stents, with multiple self-developed patented technologies. Since its inception, Huaan has targeted the most cutting-edge medical devices internationally and committed to the development of innovative medical devices, being the first developer in China of fully biodegradable coronary drug-eluting stent products. After years of effort, overcoming numerous technical challenges, and mastering core technologies possessed by only a few multinational companies globally, Huaan successfully developed China's first-of-its-kind bioresorbable scaffold with world-leading standards, which received approval from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for market launch in March 2020.
