NuVision

NuVision™ is a spin-off company from the University of Nottingham, established in July 2014, dedicated to developing innovative ocular biologics. NuVision is advancing wound dressings made from amnion, the sac surrounding the baby in the womb, used to help regenerate and heal the surface of the eye. Its first product, Omnigen, is a dry, room-temperature stable product that rehydrates upon contact with the eye’s natural moisture and has been approved for treatment within the NHS, as well as in hospitals and private clinics across the UK and overseas. Omnigen can be used in operating rooms or, when combined with the company’s bespoke bandage contact lens, OmniLenz, it can be applied in outpatient departments or clinics. This allows patients to benefit from amnion without undergoing surgery and can be treated at an earlier stage of their condition.
