Discovery Health Partners provides payment and revenue integrity solutions, consulting, and analytics, addressing the business challenges faced by healthcare payers as they strive to maximize financial performance and member health. Discovery was founded in 2008 by three world-class data experts: Terrence Ryan, Paul Vosters, and John Bair. After collaborating with Knightsbridge (a consulting firm that builds large, complex data warehouses and analytics platforms), the team identified a new opportunity to combine cutting-edge cloud technology with their deep expertise in information and analytics. Our founders recognized that the complex information management challenges faced by enterprises were increasing, particularly in industries like healthcare and insurance, where vast amounts of complex and sensitive data require sophisticated governance and analysis to deliver insights and transparency. Significant changes in healthcare, including the "Affordable Care Act," have required healthcare payers and service providers to improve efficiency, performance, and transparency. Our team addresses a major industry issue by focusing on the quality of claim payment transactions occurring between payers and providers, known as claim payment integrity. We estimate that 3-7% of paid health claims contain errors. In our $2.9 trillion healthcare market, this represents staggering waste and inefficiency. Recovering these erroneous claims directly impacts the bottom line while delivering greater value in cost avoidance and advanced recovery.
