YATAI & BBT Biotech Ltd. (provisional name, subject to approval by Canadian local company registration authorities) is a joint venture to be established in Canada by Asia-Pacific Pharmaceutical (002370.SZ), BBT, and RI. The purpose of the joint venture is to explore business opportunities related to the cannabis industry. In compliance with Canadian cannabis regulations, the joint venture will focus on promoting the cultivation, planting, processing, and sales of industrial hemp with high CBD (cannabidiol) content, as well as the cultivation and research of medical cannabis. Additionally, it will emphasize the extraction, separation, purification of high-purity CBD and other cannabinoids, along with their commercial applications across multiple fields.
