Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (Honda) established Honda Robotics to represent the company's robotics technology and application products, which were developed through its research, design, and development of humanoid robots represented by ASIMO. Robotics is one of Honda's research fields. In 1986, Honda's engineers began developing a walking robot. Twenty years later, ASIMO became a complete humanoid robot capable of not only walking but also running, climbing stairs, and even carrying trays or pushing carts.
