Matis Medical

Cone and Platelet Analyzer (CPA) is a new type of real-time whole blood platelet function testing care system invented by Professor David Varon and Professor Naphtali Savion, both of whom are experienced and renowned researchers in the fields of thrombosis, hemostasis, and vascular biology. The basic CPA technology has been patented through Ramot, the applied research and industrial development agency of Tel Aviv University in Israel. Ramot granted Matis Medical, Inc. exclusive global commercialization rights for the technology across all applications. Prior to Matis Medical's operations, Ortho Diagnostic Systems (a Johnson & Johnson company) provided research funding for the project from 1995 to 1997. Matis Medical, Inc. was established in 2000 and raised funds from private investors.
