Epic Neuro's mission is to improve the lives of stroke victims who suffer from mobility and coordination difficulties. Standard rehabilitation can help patients regain certain muscle functions. However, mild electrical stimulation combined with muscle training has been shown to significantly improve patients' motor abilities compared to muscle training alone, thereby enhancing their quality of life.The EPIC Stimulator is a miniature leadless device that delivers short, low-energy electrical pulses directly to the cortex. The implantation process is very simple (about 15 minutes). EPIC does not contain a battery and is powered externally through a comfortable cap. Patients wear the cap only during muscle training sessions (approximately one hour per day for three months). Once all rehabilitation is complete, the EPIC device can be easily removed if needed.
