Shanghai Huaota Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huaota") was established in September 2013 and is a subsidiary of Zhejiang Huahai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Since its establishment, Huaota has continuously focused on innovation and development, building a comprehensive integrated biologics R&D platform and system, including monoclonal antibodies, bispecific antibodies, fusion proteins, and ADC drug R&D platforms, as well as pilot-scale platforms for drug substance and formulation production that comply with GMP standards. Huaota’s drug substance production utilizes disposable technology, incorporating GE Healthcare's globally leading 200L and 1000L single-use bioreactors; the formulation workshop is equipped with a complete set of imported vial and pre-filled syringe filling lines from Germany’s BOSCH, supporting various drug delivery methods. The testing platform is equipped with advanced high-precision analytical and detection equipment. A robust quality assurance system has also been established to support production, registration, and clinical research. Driven by self-developed innovation, the company boasts a rich product pipeline covering major disease areas such as oncology, autoimmune diseases, and ophthalmic diseases. Currently, Huaota has over 20 projects under development, several of which have entered clinical research stages, with clinical trials being conducted in the United States, New Zealand, and China. In 2019, Huaota was recognized as a "National High-tech Enterprise," undertaking and completing multiple scientific and technological projects in Shanghai and Zhejiang Province. It has filed numerous domestic and international patent applications.
