IVERIC bio is a science-driven biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering and developing new therapeutic options for retinal diseases, as well as developing various drugs to treat eye conditions. The company is currently developing candidate therapies for age-related retinal diseases and orphan inherited retinal diseases. IVERIC bio is also developing the drug Fovista, which has completed Phase IIb clinical trials in combination with VEGF drugs for the treatment of wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD). ARC1905, a potent and selective inhibitor of complement factor C5, has completed Phase I/IIa clinical trials for the treatment of wet AMD.
