Astellas China is a wholly-owned company established by Astellas Pharma Group in China, consisting of Astellas (China) Investment Co., Ltd. (referred to as Astellas Investment), Beijing Astellas Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (referred to as Beijing Astellas Pharmaceutical), and Anstailai Pharmaceutical (China) Co., Ltd. (referred to as Anstailai Pharmaceutical). Astellas Investment serves as the regional headquarters for the Greater China commercial region, with full ownership of Beijing Astellas Pharmaceutical and Anstailai Pharmaceutical. The latter two are Astellas' marketing center for oncology and specialty treatment products in the Chinese market and its pharmaceutical manufacturing center, respectively. Astellas entered China in 1994, and its products sold in the Chinese market cover various specialized therapeutic fields such as oncology, transplant immunology, and urology. As of the end of 2021, Astellas China had approximately 1,000 employees.
