Seton Medical Center has been serving the healthcare needs of San Francisco and northern San Mateo County since its establishment as Mary Help Hospital in 1893. Today, Seton Medical Center and its sister facility, Seton Coastside, continue the tradition of patient-centered, high-quality medical care for our entire community. Seton is recognized for its stroke treatment, excellent cardiovascular functions (including STEMI certification), offering a full range of inpatient and outpatient medical specialties, as well as emergency and urgent care services. Seton Coastside manages the only 24-hour standby emergency department between Daly City and Santa Cruz along the Pacific Coast.
