Oval Medical Technologies Ltd. was founded by Matthew Young in 2009, adopting a different approach by designing from the outside to ensure all patient needs are met. The team possesses extensive expertise, enabling them to provide optimal solutions for partners and patients. Oval’s operations have evolved to meet modern quality standards, with a quality system compliant with BS EN 13485:2016 and adhering to the guidelines and principles of FDA 21 CFR Pt 820, the Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC, and ANSI/AAMI HE75. In December 2016, Oval was acquired by SMC Ltd., a global contract manufacturer of finished medical devices. The combination of Oval’s design and development capabilities with SMC’s years of experience in global manufacturing of single-patient devices ensures highly reliable product performance and a fast route to market.
