SpectraWAVE, Inc. is a private medical device company founded in 2017 with the aim of improving the outcomes of coronary artery disease (CAD) through photonics. CAD refers to the buildup of plaque on the walls of arteries that supply blood to the heart, affecting 18.2 million adults aged 20 and over. It is estimated that one in five patients with CAD who undergo percutaneous stent placement will experience adverse events, half of which are caused by previously untreated high-risk plaques. The SpectraWAVE Medical Imaging Platform is the latest integration of proven imaging technologies, designed to assist interventional cardiologists in understanding their patients and optimizing interventions.
