Oncolys BioPharma Inc. is a biotechnology enterprise headquartered in Tokyo, established in Japan in March 2004. The company operates two business segments. The pharmaceuticals segment engages in the research, development, manufacturing, and marketing of novel drugs. Its primary pipeline product, Telomelysin (OBP-301), is an oncolytic adenovirus immunotherapy currently in clinical development for various types of solid tumors, including melanoma, HCC, and esophageal cancer. In addition to Telomelysin, OBP-601 (Censavudine), an anti-HIV drug, and a novel HDAC inhibitor, OBP-801, are also under development in the United States. The diagnostics segment focuses on the research, development, manufacturing, and marketing of TelomeScan, an adenovirus for CTC (circulating tumor cell) detection, as well as providing testing services.
