Forcen

Forcen is developing a force-sensing film technology that can enhance the safety of minimally invasive surgeries. The force-sensing film is a device wrapped around the exterior of surgical instruments, capable of measuring the force applied to internal tissues during surgery. The force-sensing film transmits the detected force values wirelessly to the monitor used by surgeons, providing real-time force feedback. It also issues an alert when the force applied to internal tissues during surgery reaches dangerous levels.
