Basic Information

Impeto Medical is a private medical device company that mainly operates the EZSCAN early diabetes risk detection system and the SUDOSCAN early detection and follow-up system for peripheral neuropathy, providing screening tests to the medical community to address prevalent metabolic diseases and their complications. By offering less invasive, faster, and lower-cost procedures, it enables doctors to screen larger patient populations and detect diseases and complications at an early stage. Through continuous innovation based on clinical research and a focus on priority medical issues, the company creates value for investors. EZSCAN is an electrochemical analyzer independently developed by the company, which is a simple and non-invasive system for detecting diabetes risk through sweat gland function. EZSCAN uses electrochemical principles to test the skin's electrical response, measuring the sweat glands' ability to release chloride ions under electrochemical activation, and detecting the smallest autonomic sympathetic nerves in the human periphery, namely sudomotor nerve function. Based on the relationship between peripheral neuropathy, especially autonomic neuropathy, and the onset and progression of type 2 diabetes, EZSCAN establishes a mathematical model according to the correlation between detected sudomotor nerve function and insulin resistance, impaired glucose tolerance, and type 2 diabetes, assessing the early onset risk of type 2 diabetes. Clinically, it can be used to help doctors screen for type 2 diabetes early, observe the effects of various interventions and treatment measures, assist high-risk groups in early prevention and adherence to various preventive measures, ultimately achieving the goal of preventing diabetes.
