CSP Medical

CSP Medical is a North American medical device distributor serving hospitals, medical clinics, and cancer centers. Formerly known as Canadian Scientific Products Ltd., CSP Medical was founded in 1971 by Leonard and Bonnie Gensens. As a professional chemist, Len focused on producing specialty chemicals with several proprietary formulations for his clients. In 1981, the company entered the medical quality assurance market with non-invasive x-ray instruments, radiometers, and related testing tools. By 1988, the company had distributed several exclusive product lines across Canada and quickly became a leading supplier of medical accessories to hospitals, cancer centers, medical clinics, x-ray dealers, and OEMs such as Siemens, General Electric, Philips, and Toshiba in Canada. In 1999, several milestone events occurred, including Steve Gensens' acquisition of the company, the signing of an exclusive third-party supply agreement with Siemens Canada, and obtaining ISO 9001:2000 certification.
