Reflectance Medical Inc. (RMI) has developed the Mobile CareGuide™ sensor platform to non-invasively and continuously assess a patient's metabolic status, aiming to bring ICU-level monitoring capabilities to patients in emergency rooms and outside hospitals. Mobile CareGuide differs from the types of sensors currently used for mobile health applications as it goes beyond standard vital sign metrics (such as blood pressure, heart rate, and pulse oxygen saturation) to directly provide information on tissue health.
