Charles was born in Buffalo, New York. He grew up in the Detroit suburbs of Michigan. Dr. Charles holds a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University. He earned his medical degree at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in North Miami Beach, Florida, followed by a diagnostic radiology internship and residency at a hospital affiliated with Michigan State University.From 1997 to 1999, Dr. Charles served as the primary physician trainer for hair transplant surgery at a large hair restoration organization. Dr. Charles is active in multiple medical societies, including the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), the International Alliance of Hair Restoration Surgeons (IAHRS), the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, and the International Society for Cosmetic Laser Surgeons.Dr. Charles regularly publishes articles at international hair restoration forums and serves as an instructor at the ISHRS annual meetings. Recently, he performed a hair transplant surgery at the World Hair Congress’s Annual Live Surgical Workshop, became a board examiner for the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, and was listed in the Physician’s Recognition Directory in 2002.Dr. Charles is a compassionate, honest, and energetic doctor who exclusively focuses on and specializes in hair transplant surgery.
