Helius Medical Technologies

Helius Medical Technologies, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Helius") is a neurotechnology company in the medical device industry, focusing on nervous system health. Helius originated in the early 1990s and was born out of the pioneering work in neuroplasticity conducted at the Tactile Communication and Neurorehabilitation Laboratory (TCNL) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This research led to the development of the Portable Neuromodulation Stimulator (PoNS TM), a research-based portable neuromodulatory stimulator that delivers neurostimulation via the tongue. Clinical studies have shown that this stimulation enhances the effectiveness of physical exercise for individuals with neurological symptoms caused by diseases or injuries, such as mild to moderate traumatic brain injuries.
