Shanghai Novamab Biopharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. (Novamab), located in the Shanghai International Medical Park in Pudong New Area, Shanghai, is committed to the research and development of innovative nanobody drugs with the aim of providing patients with faster and newer innovative medicines. Since its establishment in October 2017, Novamab has built a research and production base covering over 2,500 square meters as well as a camel breeding base. At the same time, Novamab has independently developed five core technology platforms based on nanobodies: a rapid nanobody screening platform, a Pichia pastoris CMC process development platform, an inhalable macromolecular drug research platform, a long-acting nanobody platform, and a bispecific nanobody platform. Each of these platforms has unique industry advantages, enabling the rapid screening of nanobody drugs with pharmaceutical activity and their swift industrialization. Based on a comprehensive R&D system, Novamab has screened multiple antibody new drugs with pharmaceutical activity and applied for more than 30 domestic and international invention patents, including 5 PCT invention patents. In September 2020, Novamab successfully passed the recognition as a high-tech enterprise by Shanghai in 2020, becoming a "High-Tech Enterprise." Currently, Novamab's main products under development cover popular targets in respiratory, anti-infective, ophthalmology, and oncology fields, and it has established strategic partnerships with several well-known enterprises both domestically and internationally.
