Pilloxa

Pilloxa is a digital healthcare company that develops smart pillboxes with embedded sensors connected to a mobile application to facilitate medication therapy. The company identified the issue of poor medication adherence during the Clinical Innovation Fellowship, a joint venture program run by the Royal Institute of Technology, Karolinska Institutet, and Stockholm County Council. Within a clinical context, we truly understood the potential causes of poor adherence and decided we wanted to change that. Pilloxa was founded in 2015. Its first product, a smart pillbox with an embedded sensor connected to a mobile application, was completed in the summer of 2017.
