Emmaus Life Sciences, Inc. (formerly known as Emmaus Medical, Inc.) is a biopharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery, development, and commercialization of innovative treatments and therapies primarily for rare diseases and orphan conditions. Our initial efforts have focused on the treatment of sickle cell disease (a hereditary condition). Emmaus' primary commercial product is Endari®, an oral pharmaceutical-grade L-glutamine treatment used to reduce acute complications of sickle cell disease in adult and pediatric patients aged five years and older.
