GliaMed is a development-stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery and development of small molecule drugs that enhance the body's innate regenerative capabilities. Founded in 2001, the company focuses on developing compounds known as regenerative immunophilin ligands, or RILs. In preclinical models, treatment with RIL has been shown to induce the localized expression of pluripotent stem cell characteristic transcription factors at the sites of acute disease or trauma.
