RefleXion

RefleXion Medical is a therapeutic oncology company located in California, USA, founded in 2009 by Akshay Nanduri and Sam Mazin. The company is a pioneer in applying biology-guided radiotherapy (BgRT) to treat cancer at all stages. RefleXion's core products currently under development include the radiotherapy device RefleXion X1 and biology-guided radiotherapy (BgRT), used for treating all visible tumors, including those that move rapidly during respiration, digestion, or other bodily functions.The RefleXion X1 radiotherapy device uses tumor imaging technology to deliver precise therapeutic doses of radiation to tumors and can be applied in stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), and intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT). It received FDA approval in March 2020. RefleXion Medical’s key development focus, biology-guided radiotherapy (BgRT), integrates positron emission tomography (PET) imaging data, enabling tumors to continuously signal their location. BgRT technology synchronizes this data with a linear accelerator to direct radiotherapy to the tumor with sub-second latency.
