Basic Information
The frontier of bioscience journals is entirely different from "Frontiers Media" journals. The similarity in names has led to confusion among the scientific community, librarians, and even members of Wikipedia, who rank and evaluate these two entities as if they were related. Frontiers Media has created a series of open-access journals, such as Frontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology, Frontiers in Cellular Neuroscience, and Frontiers in Microbiology, among others. Given the differences in URL, ISSN numbers, and review processes, this distinction should be self-evident. In contrast to Frontiers Media journals, the open-access policy of Frontiers in Bioscience includes only 50 publications out of over 6,000.
