Hochschule Furtwangen University

Hochschule Furtwangen University is a university located in Furtwangen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The history of the university can be traced back to a watchmaking school established by Robert Gerwig in 1850. After World War II, the school was divided into two parts: one part became an engineering school, and the other part became a vocational training school. The first part mentioned above transformed into a University of Applied Sciences in the early 1970s, when this new type of university began to emerge.
