Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz is one of the leading institutions in Switzerland and has been operating across nine universities in teaching, research, education, and service. The FHNW is a cross-cantonal institution with legal entity status. The FHNW is supported by the cantons of Aargau, Basel-Landschaft, Basel-Stadt, and Solothurn. The FHNW comprises the following nine schools, all concentrated in the locations of Basel, Brugg-Windisch, Muttenz, and Olten: Applied Psychology, Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geomatics, Design, Art, Life Sciences, Music, Teacher Education, Social Work, and Business Engineering.
