Enzychem Lifesciences is developing novel small-molecule therapies to target fundamental pathways in patients with unmet needs in inflammation, oncology, and severe respiratory diseases. The company is also advancing EC-18 in fibrotic conditions such as nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and severe respiratory diseases as a potential treatment for COVID-19. EC-18, or PLAG, is a naturally synthesized substance derived from the active ingredient found in antler velvet of sika deer. Our product candidate has the potential to be a first-in-class therapy, used either in combination or as a monotherapy, addressing key areas of unmet medical needs.
