Endocare,Inc., founded in California in 1996, is committed to advancing cryoablation technology. By using argon gas for freezing and helium for thawing, Endocare eliminated many issues previously associated with the use of liquid nitrogen. In 2009, the company relocated its operations to Austin, Texas, continuing to manufacture equipment and single-use products in the United States while focusing on further innovating cryoablation technology.
