Pfizer's R&D center in China serves as an important R&D hub for Pfizer globally and within the Asia-Pacific region, providing comprehensive support services for the development projects across Pfizer’s global biopharmaceutical and chemical pharmaceutical pipelines. Projects cover clinical trials, medical affairs, legal regulations, and pharmacovigilance. Since its establishment, Pfizer's R&D center in China has significantly expanded and enhanced its full range of development skills and capabilities. Particularly since establishing a branch in Wuhan in 2010, Pfizer now employs more than 1,500 R&D personnel in Shanghai, Wuhan, and Beijing.Pfizer's R&D center in China is committed to accelerating the transformation into an innovative economy, promoting the enhancement of local R&D capabilities, systems, technological patents, and culture. This effort aims to meet unfulfilled domestic medical needs while collaborating with Chinese industry to create a world-class biopharmaceutical R&D ecosystem that is part of the global R&D community. Pfizer will continue to focus on innovation to bring new products from its R&D pipeline to Chinese patients as soon as possible.
