Artory was founded in 2016 by Nanne Dekking, an eloquent advocate for change in the international art market, who gained recognition and support from SAP founder and internationally renowned art collector Hasso Plattner. While working together, Nanne and Hasso observed the challenges facing the art market—two-thirds of collectors expressed concerns about purchasing forgeries, and a lack of trust in the art market was evident. They realized that by combining their expertise in the art world with technological resources, they could create something truly exceptional—and thus, Artory was born. Artory’s mission is to safeguard and enhance the prosperity and enjoyment of those who buy, own, and sell art. Their teams in New York and Berlin developed the core product—the Artory Registry—and through innovative technological solutions, Artory acts as a neutral and trusted resource, bringing renewed confidence to the market.
