Basic Information

Akeso Biopharma (HKEX stock code: 9926.HK) was founded in 2012 as a biopharmaceutical company integrating research, development, production, and commercialization of globally affordable innovative antibody drugs. It officially listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on April 24, 2020. Since its establishment, the company has built its unique end-to-end Akeso Comprehensive Drug Discovery and Development Platform (ACE Platform), establishing an innovative R&D system centered around Tetrabody bispecific antibody technology, Antibody-Drug Conjugate (ADC) technology platform, mRNA technology platform, and cell therapy technology, alongside a GMP production system meeting international standards and an advanced commercial operation model, making it a globally competitive biopharmaceutical innovator. The company currently holds over 50 innovative drug candidates for treating major diseases such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, inflammation, and metabolic diseases, with 19 new drugs entering clinical trials and three achieving commercial sales (including one out-licensed). In August 2021, Anliko® (PD-1 monoclonal antibody, Penpulimab Injection) was approved for marketing. In June 2022, the company's globally pioneering dual immune checkpoint bispecific antibody, Cadonilimab Injection (PD-1/CTLA-4 bispecific antibody, Carcunimab Injection), was approved for marketing. In December 2022, another self-developed global first-in-class bispecific antibody, AK112 (PD-1/VEGF bispecific antibody, Ivonescimab), was licensed to Summit Therapeutics in the United States, Europe, Canada, and Japan under an exclusive development agreement valued at up to $5 billion (with a $500 million upfront payment) plus double-digit royalties on net sales, setting a record for the highest single innovative drug out-licensing deal in China. Previously, Ivonescimab received Breakthrough Therapy Designation from the CDE for three indications in lung cancer. In August 2023, Ivonescimab’s first New Drug Application (NDA) was accepted and granted priority review status.
