Disarm Therapeutics is a private biotechnology company developing a novel disease-modifying therapy for patients with axonal degeneration. Disarm has discovered new and potent SARM1 inhibitors and is conducting preclinical development with the goal of providing breakthrough treatments for patients with peripheral neuropathy and other neurological diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and multiple sclerosis. Axonal degeneration is a common but unresolved pathology in a wide range of chronic and acute diseases of the central, ocular, and peripheral nervous systems. Disarm’s scientific founders have recently identified SARM1 as a key driver of axonal degeneration.
