CervoMed is a clinical-stage biotechnology company dedicated to advancing CNS-focused therapeutic approaches to benefit patients suffering from a range of neurodegenerative diseases. The company is currently developing neflamapimod, an investigational oral small-molecule brain penetrant that inhibits p38 MAP kinase α (p38α). Neflamapimod has the potential to treat synaptic dysfunction, which is the reversible aspect of the underlying neurodegenerative process leading to dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) and certain other major neurological disorders. Neflamapimod is currently being evaluated in a Phase 2b study in patients with DLB.
