Basic Information
Development Center for Biotechnology has two main R&D teams, including small molecule new drug and botanical new drug development. The small molecule team provides services in synthetic medicinal chemistry, preclinical in vitro drug activity studies, and formulation development research at various stages. Additionally, the mTOR inhibitor independently developed by the small molecule team received U.S. FDA/IND approval in July 2013 and Taiwan TFDA/IND approval in March 2014. The botanical new drug team also possesses a strong and effective integrated team with expertise in areas such as chemical processes, pharmacology, and efficacy. They have long-term collaboration experience with multiple clinical physicians from medical institutions in China, effectively shortening the IND application process for botanical new drugs. Achievements include obtaining three U.S. FDA/IND approvals and two Taiwan TFDA/IND approvals, as well as assisting the industry in developing health products into botanical new drugs within two and a half years and gaining U.S. FDA/IND approval.
