Kintara Therapeutics collaborates with outstanding academic and clinical research institutions from around the world to support the development of its novel cancer therapies.On August 20, 2020, DelMar Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced the completion of its merger with Adgero Biopharmaceuticals Holdings, Inc., with the combined company operating under the name Kintara Therapeutics, Inc.Kintara Therapeutics' leading product candidates include:[VAL-083] A first-in-class small molecule DNA-targeting agent with a novel mechanism of action that leads to DNA double-strand breaks and cancer cell death. Published preclinical and clinical data suggest that VAL-083 may have activity against multiple types of tumors. Indications for VAL-083 include: Glioblastoma (GBM), ovarian cancer, and pediatric central nervous system tumors.[REM-001] A second-generation photosensitizer with several advantages compared to previous-generation PDT compounds. Indications for REM-001 include: Cutaneous metastatic breast cancer, recurrent basal cell carcinoma nevus syndrome, and hemodialysis arteriovenous (AV) access.
