Basic Information
DefiniGEN was founded in April 2012 to industrialize the OptiDIFF stem cell production platform developed at the University of Cambridge, UK. The company possesses world-leading expertise in iPSC production and metabolic disease modeling. The application of these technologies in drug discovery provides pharmaceutical companies with more predictive in vitro cell products, enabling the development of safer and more effective treatments. Furthermore, the technology platform utilizes fully defined and humanized conditions required for the development of regenerative medicine cell therapies. DefiniGEN is built on the intellectual property and knowledge from the Department of Regenerative Medicine at Addenbrooke's Hospital, University of Cambridge, and has also obtained a license for the Yamanaka-induced pluripotent stem cell intellectual property portfolio from iPS Academia Japan Inc.
