Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma

Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma is a pharmaceutical company headquartered in Japan. Its headquarters is located in the Chuo Ward of Osaka. The earliest iteration of Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma was founded in 1885 by Nagayo Sensai, who graduated from Tekijuku — the first private medical school in Japan established by Kōan Ogata. It was a fully privately-owned company, funded by many investors from Tokyo and Osaka, with land and buildings leased from the government. The enterprise's technical experts were provided by Shokei Shibata and Nagai Chōkichi.
