Chondrometrics

Chondrometrics GmbH was founded in 2003 by Professor Dr. Felix Eckstein and Dr. med Reinhard Putz as a spin-off from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München in Munich, Germany. In 2004, the company relocated to Ainring, Germany, near the border with Salzburg, Austria. Chondrometrics is a leading provider of medical image analysis services for researchers in academia and the pharmaceutical industry. The company specializes in the quantitative analysis of articular cartilage, menisci, and muscles through magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), as well as research on osteoarthritis. It has developed an efficient software platform and assembled a team of well-trained, experienced readers to provide quantitative imaging biomarkers of tissue adaptation and disease progression in large-scale studies.
