CellResearch Corporation Pte Ltd. was established in Singapore in 2002 by scientists with a strong interest and expertise in cellular biology. Its initial mission was to provide skin and scar cells to laboratories worldwide for research purposes and to conduct contract research for international skin research laboratories.In 2004, our scientists isolated epithelial stem cells and mesenchymal stem cells from the umbilical cord lining. This novel and significant discovery was submitted for intellectual property protection, and to date, we have been granted patents in multiple strategically critical regions around the world.It is now known that the umbilical cord lining is the richest source of stem cells in the body. Collaborators worldwide are conducting in-depth research on epithelial and mesenchymal stem cells to unlock their potential in downstream medical treatments. Significant progress has been made thus far, and we have begun clinical trials with our partners at the U.S. FDA, leading to a therapy that accelerates wound healing.
