Since 2000, the incidence of cardiovascular diseases has decreased by 31% due to interventions targeting these conditions. This remarkable progress has been driven by the discovery of new drugs and technologies for treating heart disease. But we need to do more. Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States and around the world, affecting every major population regardless of gender, race, or ethnicity.
