Cardiovascular Research Group (Cardio Vasc™), established in 1991, has become one of the leading research groups in the field of cardiovascular science in Central and Eastern Europe. Conducting work at the Department of Biochemistry, University of Szeged, Hungary, it boasts a comprehensive network of domestic and international academic, clinical, and industrial collaborations with pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies. Its mission is to explore the cellular mechanisms responsible for major cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, such as ischemic heart disease, information, heart failure, stroke, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia, and to identify new cellular targets for the development of cardioprotective and vasculoprotective drugs. The group takes pride in its high-quality, cutting-edge research maintained by highly qualified scientists and continuous quality management.
