Canadian Bacterial Diseases Network

Canadian Bacterial Diseases Network is a subgroup of the Canadian bacterial disease network, which is one of the 15 Networks of Centres of Excellence (a Canada-wide network of researchers focused on bacterial diseases). The surveillance network consists of a group of clinical laboratories across Canada that voluntarily provide data and bacterial isolates for epidemiological and microbiological research. The goal of this work is to identify emerging bacterial resistance and changing epidemiological issues, and to ensure that healthcare providers have the necessary data to establish appropriate laboratory testing guidelines and patient management strategies.
