Basic Information

Cambridge Isotope Laboratories, Inc. (CIL) is the world's leading producer of stable isotopes and stable isotope-labeled compounds. CIL has over 400 employees and laboratories in four countries, specializing in the labeling processes of biochemical and organic compounds with high concentrations of stable (non-radioactive) isotopes of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen. CIL's vision began in 1981 when it was founded by Dr. Joel Bradley, an organic chemist from MIT. With a commitment to high-quality products, excellent customer service, innovative products, and an extensive product line, CIL quickly became a leader in the field. CIL now produces over 15,000 products and possesses ISO 13485, ISO/IEC 17025, and ISO 17034 quality systems as well as cGMP production capabilities. Over the past few decades, CIL has expanded its global operations and currently employs over 400 people across facilities in four countries.
