Caldan Therapeutics

Caldan Therapeutics Ltd is a spin-off company from the University of Glasgow (UofG) and the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), developing new therapies using free fatty acid receptor modulators for metabolic diseases, including Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) and other indications. The opportunity arose from a long-standing collaboration between Professor Graeme Milligan (UofG) and Professor Trond Ulven (SDU). Free fatty acid receptors have recently become an exciting target for T2D due to their involvement in multiple aspects of its pathophysiology. There is also potential to explore other indications, including Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) and inflammatory conditions.
