NERCIS

The National Engineering Research Center for Common Technologies of Information Security was established under the approval of the National Development and Reform Commission (Document No. [2004] 1551 of the NDRC). The legal entity of the center is NERCIS, with a registered capital of 50 million yuan. It was founded by investment from institutions such as the Institute of Information Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The technical support units of the center include the Commercial Cryptography Research Center of the State Cryptography Administration, the 51st Research Institute of the General Staff of the People's Liberation Army, Beijing Electronic Science and Technology College, and the State Key Laboratory of Information Security. The center is located within the Institute of Information Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Aiming to enhance the core competitiveness of China’s information security industry, the center conducts research, development, services, and training related to national information security strategies, security architecture, core technologies, industrial standards, system evaluations, and other common supporting technologies associated with information security assurance systems. The center accelerates the transformation of research achievements in China’s information security field into real productive forces, promotes the overall development of China’s information security industry, and meets the needs of China’s national information security strategy.
