ApiFix, a portfolio company of The Trendlines Group, was founded in 2011 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, with the mission to improve the lives of young patients with scoliosis. The company has developed a minimally invasive deformity correction (MID-C) procedure that disrupts traditional methods of treating spinal deformities. ApiFix has created an entirely new, minimally invasive scoliosis deformity correction system that incorporates a miniature ratchet mechanism, capturing incremental corrections as the patient bends in the direction of correction.
